The 2004 County Agricultural Commissioner's report indicates Butte County's crop value was over $358 million last year.   Fruit and nut crops lead in value at over $196 million followed by field crops at over $112 million.   The top ten crops constitute over 90 percent of that total with the top six crops; almonds, rice, walnuts, timber, nursery stock, and dried plums accounting for the lion’s share.
